Buenos Aires, November 30 (NA) – Former Tucumán Governor José Alperovich, who is serving a nine-month house arrest sentence for nine cases of sexual abuse, was urgently hospitalized and underwent surgery for a gastrointestinal ailment following his recent marriage to former "Big Brother" contestant Marianela Mirra.
According to Noticias Argentinas, the news caused a controversy after host Ángel de Brito shared images of the politician on social media from the Italian Hospital in Buenos Aires.
De Brito not only confirmed the former governor's surgery but also made a stunning clarification.
"As he is under house arrest, every movement must be reported in the case file so that the victim is aware," he stated.
Additionally, the journalist added a detail explaining the choice of the healthcare center and noted: "He was admitted to the Italian Hospital because Alperovich is friends with the vice director."
"This has not happened yet," he added.
